However, the relatively small size of toy breeds, miniature spaniels and terriers, and other small dogs means that your training methods may require minor adjustments to be effective.
Food for small dogs should be small. If you have a number 2 pencil at home, look at the size of the pink holder at the end. The treatment should be no larger than this eraser, preferably slightly smaller.
If the treat is this small, it should have a nice smell to keep them interested. If it disappears in one chew or hand, there is plenty of flavor to sniff and wait.
